About the Artist
Artist Statement
I believe artists should not be content with one specific style, medium, or subject matter in which we are most comfortable. I feel art is about exploration, both internal and external, always evolving and challenging oneself. I enjoy pushing traditional rules and often embracing a playful side. My artwork reflects what gives me joy. Occasionally macabre, fantasy or abstract while realistic pieces often have hidden images. I am deeply affected by my love of nature and feel strongly sentimental of Mom & Pop businesses and historic buildings. I work primarily in watercolor, pen & ink, acrylic, and various sculpting mediums from pumpkins to bronze.
